Welcome to the PA Wilds Free Tourism Business Classifieds. The idea behind this site is to pool resources to keep costs low for small businesses and to help promote networking and economic growth in the Pennsylvania Wilds region.

Here’s how it works: Post your ad here for free and we’ll market it to groups that might be interested in doing business in the Pennsylvania Wilds. These include: residents and other businesses in the PA Wilds; outdoor groups; universities that have small business or outdoor recreation degree programs; urban dwellers who might be looking for a change of pace (i.e. want to move to the countryside and buy/start a small business); and seasonal, reliable, traveling workers (Workampers and similar programs).

CANOE/KAYAK LIVERY: Love the outdoors? Busy canoe and kayak livery on the Allegheny River is accepting applications for summer 2010. Applicants must have excellent driving record, ability to lift 50 pounds and a willingness to learn about the river. Duties include helping customers plan river trips, answering phones, scheduling trips, loading canoes and shuttling customers to and from start and end points. Pay is $8 per hour – not much, we realize, but you’ll work with a great group of folks who appreciate you. Good fit for people who have summers off.
